The dedicated staff and volunteers of 217 We Care are the heart of the organization’smission to empower and inspire youth. United by a shared passion for education, innovation, and community service, they bring diverse backgrounds and expertise in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. 

Staff members provide leadership, coordination, and mentorship to ensure programs run effectively, while volunteers generously contribute their time and talents to support hands-on learning experiences, workshops, and events. Together, they create a nurturing and motivating environment where young people can explore their interests, develop critical skills, and grow into confident problem-solvers. In addition to advancing youth development, the staff and volunteers of 217 We Care pay an active role in community outreach through partnerships with local grocery stores and community churches. 

They work collaboratively to organize and distribute food to individuals and families in need, ensuring that no one in the community goes hungry. Staff members coordinate logistics and partnerships, while volunteers assist with sorting, packaging, and delivering food to various distribution sites. This initiative not only meets immediate needs but also strengthens community bonds, demonstrating 217 We Care’s commitment to compassion, collaboration, and service beyond education. Through these efforts, the organization continues to build bridges between youth

empowerment and community well-being.

217 We Care was founded in February 2024 with a vision to create meaningful opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and lead within their communities. What began as a small initiative driven by a group of passionate mentors and community leaders quickly evolved into a dynamic nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between

education and real-world experience. From its early days, 217 We Care has focused on combining (STEAM) education with hands-on engagement in occupational trades, community service, and creative innovation. In just a short time, the organization has built strong partnerships with schools, local businesses, and faith-based organizations, expanding its reach and impact across Ohio.
